Whether you’re looking for an exciting drink to have with friends or you’re just looking for something to spice up your day, we’ve got a couple of fun drinks for you to try out during this summer heat!

Fresh Berry Lemonade

This fruity twist on the classic summer refresher is a great way to make your day just a little bit brighter. To make this simple and beautiful beverage:

Fill a pitcher with about 3 cups of cold water and about 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice and mix. If you would like to add a little extra fun surprise to this beverage, try substituting cold water for carbonated water.

Place about 1 cup of fresh berries in a bowl, a mix of strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries works wonderfully, and lightly squish them with a spoon just until you can see a little bit of juice gathering at the bottom of the bowl. The light crushing or bruising of the berries will help to get their juices to infuse with the lemonade.

Add the berries to the pitcher, mix, and enjoy!

Homemade Sweetened Condensed Milk Iced Coffee

If you are an iced coffee fan this might just become your new favorite summertime drink. Simply mix freshly brewed espresso, creamy homemade sweetened condensed milk, milk, and ice and you’ve got an absolutely irresistible iced coffee treat that people will love.

First, for the sweetened condensed milk, add 2 cups of milk and ⅔ cup of sugar to a saucepan and stir to mix. Heat over low heat until all of the sugar has dissolved, then bring to a simmer over medium-low heat and gently simmer, stirring every 5–10 minutes for about 35–40 minutes until the mixture is a nice creamy color and has thickened. This sweetened condensed milk can be stored in the fridge for about 5 days, and can also be made using other sweeteners such as maple syrup or agave, and can also be made using coconut milk if you want to avoid dairy, just note that the ratio is 3:1 for “milk” to “sugar.”

Now, brew a shot or two of espresso or a small cup of coffee, for an amazing flavor-packed cup of coffee try getting some whole coffee beans and grinding them yourself in a coffee grinder, and then mix it with a generous spoon of the sweetened condensed milk.

And finally, add in some ice cubes and fill the glass with some more milk, or milk substitute, and you’re all set!
